If you’re looking for some egg-citing activities in Kent this Easter weekend, grab your Easter bonnets as we have you covered!


From lambing events and heritage railways, all the way to vineyard egg hunts and food festivals, there’s something for everyone in our extensive list of events, trails, festivals and more.



Biddenden Vineyards


A treat for both the adults and children, enjoy a day at beautiful Biddenden Vineyards this Easter holiday where you can explore the vineyard to uncover Peter and friends in their annual bunny hunt.


As Kent’s original vineyard, this family run estate spans 23 acres and produces an array of highly-acclaimed white, rose and sparkling English wines, as well as ciders and juices.


With a trail to complete, little ones are tasked with collecting the bunnies’ names to win a large bottle of Biddenden Apple Juice and chocolate treat. The kids don’t get all the fun though, as adults also receive a bottle of Biddenden still wine and the chance to enter the raffle to win an Easter hamper!

Steam train at Bodiam station

Kent & East Sussex Railway


Hop on board the Kent & East Sussex Railway this Easter weekend for a brilliant family day out. With heritage trains travelling between Tenterden and Bodiam, there’ll be activity sheets for children and the Easter Bunny will even be making an appearance.


With a rich history spanning 120 years, the railway itself, the Kent & East Sussex Railway offers visitors an authentic steam and diesel-powered railway experience through 10½ miles of Wealden countryside in the beautiful Rother Valley. Discover more at the station museum and keep your eyes peeled for some runaway bunnies at Bodiam station…

Penshurst Place

Head to the historic Penshurst Place for a Easter-themed trail around the beautiful gardens. 

With the Easter Bunny hopping off on holiday ahead of the chocolate rush, little ones are tasked with hunting down the suitcase items that have been scattered around the grounds. Find all of the clues to uncover where the Easter Bunny has jetted off to.


With the wonderful Porcupine Pantry on site, lots to see within the house itself and a fantastic play area for the children, Penshurst Place is a great spot for a full day out this Easter holiday.

Broadstairs Food Festival


Indulge in some delicious local produce and get involved in the activities for the whole family to enjoy at Broadstairs Easter Food Festival.


With almost 100 of Kent’s finest producers, The Victoria Gardens in Broadstairs will be filled with an impressive range of sweet and savoury treats, hot food and drinks from award-winning vineyards and distilleries. Whether you fancy treating yourself to a decadent brew in the vintage-style tea parlour marquee, or sampling a glass of fizz in the seafood and champagne tent, there’s something for everyone, with local cheesemakers, artisan chocolatiers and specialist vegan stands on offer.


Youngsters will also be entertained with family friendly sessions including screen-printing table mats, seaweed pressing, tasty planting and Easter crown making, as well as live music throughout the weekend.

Four Winds Farm


Nothing says Spring quite like seeing newborn lambs frolicking around, so head to Four Winds Farm this Easter weekend for their lambing event.


As a working sheep farm, there will be the chance to see the lambs, sheep shearing demonstrations, sheepdog displays and tractors, as well as crafts, face painting and a bouncy castle.


Time your visit with lunch and enjoy food from Precious Porkers BBQ or tea and cake from the Four Winds Farm Shepherd Hut.

Chiddingstone Castle with daffodils

Spring is a beautiful time to visit Chiddingstone Castle on the outskirts of Edenbridge, and this year you can enjoy the stunning castle and grounds with their family friendly Easter trail. 


Hunt the eggs and chicks hidden around the site to win a special Easter treat, whilst marvelling at the the stunning array of daffodils and cherry blossom in bloom by the lake, and taking in some of the fascinating collections in the museum itself. Why not round the day off with a visit to the pretty courtyard tea room for some delicious sandwiches, cakes and drinks too?

Kayaking on the River Stour

Canoe Wild


For something a little different, head over to Fordwich for a paddle this Easter weekend. Canoe Wild are running an Easter Egg hunt like no other.


Enjoy the beauty of the Kent countryside by hiring a kayak, canoe or SUP to paddle down the River Stour and relax on the water. Pick up a spotter sheer from reception to see how many eggs you can spot, whilst also taking in the incredible wildlife and scenery.

Swanley Park


Hop on over to Swanley Park for their fun-filled Easter celebration on Saturday 19th April. 


Follow the clues of the Easter Egg trail for some hidden surprises, before exploring games and stalls, doing a meet-and-greet with Miss Nibbles and exhausting the little ones on the bouncy castle. With play areas, the miniature railway and acres of parkland to explore too, this makes for a great day out for the whole family.

Lego ship at Chatham Dockyard

The Historic Dockyard Chatham


Explore 400 years of heritage with a visit to the Historic Dockyard Chatham. In addition to the usual exhibitions and interactive fun, they are hosting a Lego themed egg hunt this Easter.


The Brickwrecks Easter Egg Quest gives little (and big!) ones the chance to scour  the Dockyard to find hidden Lego Easter eggs, each containing a secret letter. Collect them all to decipher the name of a legendary shipwreck and be rewarded with a chocolate treasure!


There’s also the chance to enter their competition to win one of five Easter Lego sets.

Historic Hever Castle with daffodils

Visit this historic Hever Castle for some egg-citing family fun this Easter.


With some cheeky rabbits on the loose and causing chaos in the castle gardens, help head gardener Mr Miller track the playful bunnies down. Follow the trail map and solve puzzles around the grounds to discover where the little troublemakers are causing havoc and claim a chocolatey prize.


There will also be a variety of Easter-themed craft activities on offer including creating origami fortune tellers to planting cress. Themes face painting is also available on selected dates.

Reuthe’s Lost Gardens


Hop on over to Sevenoaks for Reuthe’s Lost Gardens’ egg-travagant Easter events throughout the holidays and Easter weekend.


With a chance to meet the Easter Bunny, greet the alpacas, enjoy a delicious picnic and take part in the magical Easter trail, their Easter Tea Party is sure to be a hit with the little ones. Their trail through the beautiful gardens is also running throughout the Easter holidays, as well as nerf games, craft workshops and breakfasts with the Easter Bunny. 


Easter Saturday also sees their epic Easter disco return with 3 hours of non-stop music to get the kids bopping as well as some egg-citing surprises.

Leeds Castle in the sunshine

Leeds Castle


Leeds Castle’s trails never fail to impress, and this year is set to be no exception. Inspired by the Horrible Histories books, visit the 900 year old castle this Easter for an riotous adventure with measly medieval knights and outrageous outlaws.


Little knights will have the chance to create their own knightly kit and skills, including a crest, shield and swordplay. Those who complete the quest will be rewarded with a Leeds Castle gold coin. With the castle itself, grounds and epic play areas to explore too, it’ll make for a fun-filled family day out.

Cyclopark


Head to Cyclopark in Gravesend for their Big Egg Hunt for a great family day out.


Including bunny bingo, Easter mini games, photo opportunities and chance to meet both some cute real animals and the Easter Bunny himself, this fun family event is ideal for children aged 2-8.

Steam train in Kent

Spa Valley Railway


Visit the Spa Valley Railway this Easter for their new Easter event, the Egburt Holmes Easter Egg Hunt!


Enjoy the sights and sounds of the steam trains and laugh at Egbert Holmes (the great egg detective) as he tries to crack the case of the Easter Bunnies missing eggs.


The event starts and ends at Tunbridge Wells West station with activity packs handed out on board the trail and the egg hunt itself taking place on the platform of Eridge station.

Quex Adventure Farm Park


The Bouncing Bunnies Easter Trail returns to Quex Farm Park in Birchington for 2025 and makes for a great day out with little ones.


Featuring an Easter trail, tractor rides, carrot planting and even the chance to meet the Easter Bunny, there’s so much on offer along with the usual attractions including play areas, sandpit and toddler village.


Visitors can also meet the adorable animals at the farm, such as goats, sheep, rabbits, ponies and cows.

National Trust


You can’t go wrong with a National Trust day out and as usual, they have some fantastic events and trails throughout Easter.


Whether you’re keen to do butterfly spotting at Knole; the egg and spoon race at Sissinghurst Castle Garden or take on the hen-themed challenges at Ightham Mote, there are some beautiful spots to visit.


Trails cost £3.50 per person (in addition to admission fees if not a member) and include an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears, activity sheet and chocolate egg prize.

Betteshanger Country Park


Visit the beautiful Betteshanger Country Park near Deal to help Billy the Easter Bunny find his missing Easter eggs hidden throughout the woods.


Little ones will receive a clue sheet to guide them through the trail and once the clues are solved, then can hop on down to meet the Easter Bunny for a treat and photo opportunity.
